We have a new member! If you’ve poked around our website lately, you may have noticed that Ian Garner has joined the team as a Content Marketing Specialist.
What exactly does that mean? He’ll be working on some projects behind the scenes, and you’ll start seeing him at shows working with our Creative Director. It also means that, if you’re working with us on any videos, we can now offer male narration without having to outsource anything. Ian recently narrated this short video we did for David Lawrence Rare Coins if you want to hear a sample.
So who is he? We think it’s best to let him introduce himself…

I may be a newcomer to the world of numismatics, but I’m no stranger to marketing and content creation. I earned my first paycheck at the age of seven as a freelance voice actor, a job I continued through high school, eventually earning enough to cover my undergraduate degree. For the last several years I have worked within the competitive gaming field, operating in a myriad of functions including writing, editing, podcasting, social media management, and live event broadcasting!
Although my diverse media background is largely to credit with my position at Numismatic Marketing, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge my lifelong passion for history. Growing up in Virginia, I was privileged to be surrounded by a rich collection of battlefields, museums, landmarks, and memorials. I grew to appreciate the incredible stories hidden in the past, so much so that in 2017 I graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in History.
As I am just beginning my journey in numismatics, I believe I can lend a fresh perspective to the hobby and help make content that is accessible to beginning collectors. I’m thrilled to be blending my two passions in such a unique way here at Numismatic Marketing. After holding a two-hundred-year-old coin in my hand for the first time… you can be sure I understand the appeal!
